Geeky Coffee Mugs Can Tell You the State of Your Drink

How can you bring geeky-ness to a coffee mug? Well the folks at Charles&Marie think they can bring some geeky-ness to the mugs by giving them the ability to detect the temperature of the drink. These cups can tell you the state of your drink by changing its color. There are marking on the cup that will tell you the actual state of your drink.

How does it work?

Well, the coffee mug is coated with special temperature sensitive paint. There is an additional painting that says “Hot” (Black) and Cold (White). When the drink is hot, the color changes to white highlighting the black “Hot” text and vice versa.

You can pre-order these mugs at Charles&Marie.Com for $25 / piece.

Shock Ball is the scariest ball game in town - catch the ball and risk a shock - or drop it and lose!

ShockBall is ”hot potato for the 21st century”.

Throw the rubberized ball around with your friends. Watch out for the ball glowing red at random intervals. When it’s glowing it’s live - and touch it when it’s live and get shocked!

Only play this ultra competetive game if you are up to the challenge, and the consequences.

Shockball includes suggestions for various games:

Hot Potato - Pass the ball from player to player, if you drop it you are out - last one in wins!

Whose Round Is It? - As above but the first player to drop it buys the drinks :)

Tough Guy - Hold the ball for the longest time possible - the longest time wins.

Laser Gun Target Alarm Clock

There are alarm clocks that beep, clocks that bong, clocks that play tunes, even clocks that shake the bed! The problem with most of these is that they can be turned off with a simple push of a button. Not so with the Laser Gun Target Alarm Clock! This alarm requires pin-point accuracy before it will cease its incessant noise.

Simply set the alarm for the time of your desired wake-up call, put the alarm on the other side of the room (Don’t worry, it’ll still be more than loud enough!). When the alarm sounds and rouses you from slumber simply pick up the laser pointer and hit the middle of the bull’s-eye on the target, simple. Well when we say simple, it’s challenging enough that you’ll actually need to concentrate on what you’re doing and will be awake and alert when you succeed in turning it off.

This is a great alarm clock and is ideal for anyone who has got used to their current clock, and into the habit of hitting the ‘off’ button, rolling over and drifting back off to the land of nod.
